Can I file a lien on a property based on a notarized document stating that he owes me money?

So my boyfriend of 4 years and I just recently broke up. We had lived together for the whole time we were together. He bought a house and we started remodeling about 3 years ago. The home is still not done but we are no longer together. I made him sign a document stating that he owed me money for repairs that came out of my pocket that was notarized. The problem is I will probably never see this money, at least for a very very long time.I have asked multiple times for the money and he refuses. I would much rather get through this as soon as possible so I can move on with my life. I was wondering if I could file a lien against the property to ensure payment for the amount owed?
